i really wish ap-verse wasn't this brittle/monolithic. so many weird project ideas that require massive amounts of activation energy if i want to do them on any ap-ware (any!), but it's 10x easier to hack on atproto/bluesky because of how detached it all is. can just write a little weird component that does feedgen

@luna as2 is like html in that it is unstructured content and can contain arbitrary elements/properties
god imagine if we build generic message queues instead. then we specced a protocol that was transport- independent. unfortunately we can’t even agree broadly if fedi is supposed to be email or a distributed database

many bad things to talk about atproto/bluesky but at a technical level they nailed down developer experience imo.
