i keep procrastinating on getting my flac music library converted and synced to this iphone because fuck apple too

tangentially fuck the smartphone market since like 2016 at the latest. these phones keep being way too huge and my hands stay the same size

when this iphone 13 mini dies and with my sony xperia 1 iii on its way out due to a bad fingerprint sensor, i will have zero good options

@caleb decent idea at first glance but i had one and it wasn’t particularly that good while i had it. if i had to pick a phone to clone with updated internals, it’d be the iPhone SE 2016 or the Xperia X Compact. i *think* for now my least offensive option is a used xperia 1 v but that’s not going to be viable for too long, and i kinda worry the fingerprint sensor might develop the same issue as my 1 iii… the 5 v unfortunately never made it to the usa so it doesn’t have good band support

@trwnh@mastodon.social so what I noted by listening to what is essentially public append-only playlist shuffle radio, is that for some reason, some music just stops working at the old link, but there's a new video with exactly the same setup and stuff

the name gets stored at submission time so finding and updating the source video is fairly quick, but it's still annoying to go over it

@trwnh@mastodon.social just youtube, but many tracks on youtube music are available on simply youtube and I'd believe the reasons are probably similar, all of the tracks I've seen this happen with were on the "generic" artist channels, not actual channels of artists with their own music videos and stuff.

@ignaloidas idk i'm not sure about that, it's stuff that when i search for it in youtube music, it just doesn't come up at all. maybe if i'm lucky someone has uploaded a video with the entire album, but that doesn't help with wanting to add a specific track to a playlist
