It's fascinating to me that I posted on Instagram to my 8,600 followers that I get much more comments and sales from the kind people on Mastodon.

Not one person joined Mastodon. You'd think they'd jump at the chance.

But no, they'd rather stay on Instagram and complain about the lack of engagement.

@johnbloorprintmaker maybe that's because Instagram and mastodon are different and they serve different purposes.

However, Pixelfed and Instagram are similar and serve different purposes. They probably don't know Pixelfed exists.

@BeAware I'd much rather use Mastodon than Pixelfed. And I don't think people use Instagram to post photos any more, really. Everyone I know uses it to promote their business.

@johnbloorprintmaker ‍️just seems like an obvious thing to suggest Instagram users try Pixelfed.

To each their own though.
