        I us AI extensively but I fix a ton of stuff manually. If I did not have any skills my code would be shit^5.

          Like most things, taking the time to understand how to build software and doing it manually until you've learned the nuances is more customer-friendly than getting the fastest thing out, especially when personal data is involved.

          We need to learn from the mistakes of "Move Fast, Break Things," not shift to "Move even faster, security be damned."

            Yes. And I am a big fan of assume you will be hacked and collect the bare minimum of data needed. Data can be built with trust markers and less actual data.

              That's great, but I think the above shows that there's a lot of vibe coders that use it as a shortcut rather than a starter pack. Not everyone is as careful as you're being.
