Though, I think the opposite question is just as important. If the issues aren't recognized and discussed, they might not be fixed.
So, what are the worst things about Fediverse?

@BeAware it is clunky, the search function is a disaster and is hardly used by anybody, but I still love it

@BeAware the fact that we still rely on the traditional server/client model and thus not truly decentralized.
if a mastodon server in america (like mastodon.social) is taken down, that data is just gone.
now if we used ipfs (or similar) then the data could persist regardless of the original (seeder/server?) being taken down.it's currently not really de-centralized, it's more poly-centralized.

@BeAware@social.beaware.live The HOA. They're the reason we can't have nice things.

@BeAware lack of a search mechanism capable of finding posts from as many servers as possible. Often search results and even threads are very partial...

@BeAware Perhaps discoverability. Since #ActivityPub is not a single image of all posts, we need a better way to find posts we're interested in. Also, there should be less friction in engaging with another server; currently, you need to switch to that instance before you can interact with a post.

@EpicBear why would you need to switch to another instance to interact with a post? Just copy the link and put it in your instances search bar?
Discoverability is pretty trash though. Yep.

@BeAware You can't like or boost a post without switching to its instance.

@EpicBear I sure can...๐คจ
I copy the link to the post and paste it into my mastodon search bar. Then I like or boost from my own instance.
