playing around with hugo "content adapters" and so far i can say that, for a mastodon archive of 68400 statuses, it takes 60.665 seconds to generate a static site with content only, no attachments processing yet.

playing around with hugo "content adapters" and so far i can say that, for a mastodon archive of 68400 statuses, it takes 60.665 seconds to generate a static site with content only, no attachments processing yet. so baseline you're looking at something on the order of 1 second per 1000 statuses, i guess.

i just need to process attachments, and also do the css for the "status permalink" page/layout. probably also add support for pagination so that you don't just get all 68400 statuses on the same page load.

stretch goals:
- make it more variable so you can do things like profile tabs
- make it more generic so that it supports more cases like pleroma exports or other things that output an AS2 collectioni don't plan on putting *too* much more effort into it though, because i don't really have a need to do so. most of my effort is going into my website proper, not my mastodon archive.
