there's a whole class of problems that suddenly vanish when you decouple the storage from the transport. another class of problems disappears when you decouple identity.

@trwnh my ideal server stores all objects as plain text files, possibly in the original JSON-LD format and an equivalent XML. An auxiliary database may be used to speed up operations as necessary, but it's an auxiliary performance crutch. This makes the on-disk format as universal as possible.
