@brainblasted this strikes me as true but it's also interesting how matrix is a bad solution on a _technical_ level as a result. it was pitched correctly to appeal to enough of a certain class of nerd sensibilities to soak up a lot of energy that might have gone into building a thing that actually works well, but it does not _itself_ work well.
(as you can probably tell, i'm in my unapologetic shit-talking phase with regards to this one. what an embarrassing disaster.)
