Kinda weird seeing some people on Threads say "I'm sharing to the Fediverse!" but they're totally not...

That's the major issue with Threads implementation.

People just assume posting there by default is "on the Fediverse".

@BeAware I also see a lot of people who are sharing to the fediverse who are cross posting from instagram and don't realise those posts don't get federated either.

@WonkeyFX I don't see those because I don't have an actual meta account, I just browse the word "Fediverse" through threads public search, but that is quite disappointing...‍️

@BeAware Yeah my feelings are I just wish meta would go all in or out, this partial implementation is frustrating.

@WonkeyFX 1000% agree. Same for BlueSky, but that's only because the Fedi Mafia harassed Ryan to make it "opt-in"
