I don't care if I'm wanted or not. I care if a large portion of the fediverse sees fit to censor opinions based on their feelings. Fine if you're moderator on a community based around something that doesn't fit your views but it shouldn't work the same for the entire instance. And it's only really an issue because lemmy.world It's like 90% of the fediverse. If it worked like it was originally designed, there wouldn't be massive controlling interests like Lemmy.world.

I don't even know how to block an instance, but even if I did, idk if I like the idea of just nuking that much content in one swoop.
Also would that block posts from users of that instance in other instances (like if one of them posted in this comment chain)? I have nothing against the folks who do enjoy that stuff - I don't want to see the furry crap in my feed, but someone from a furry instance posting non-furry crap elsewhere is fine.
No, just the posts, I don't think you have the ability to block comments from one instance.
And if an entire instance is dedicated to NSFW content, the chances of missing something good are slim to none.
I use Boost, I'm not sure if it's an app feature or a platform feature.

The frontpage was never good, but hooo boy.
Every time I catch a peek now it's the same Am I the Asshole (they're obviously not), Am I Overreacting (My husband called me 15 different slurs, AIO????), and the same stupid AskReddit questions (Americans of Reddit, how do you feel living in a ruined country?)I swear, back then there were bots reposting old posts and reply chains, now they must be AI generating the whole thing because all the frontpage shit is the exact same posts, following the same format, day after day.
At this point I wouldn't go back even if rolled back their shitty changes.
