When I follow, the browser (safari) is registering it as successful.

However when I refresh, it's showing that I haven't followed the person.

For some reason, it seems as if I am getting success follows, but they don't persist.

I haven't done anything special to get an account on mastodon or the fediverse. My account only exists on Nodebb.

Same deal. I am following these steps:

1. Go to: https://community.nodebb.org/user/devnull@crag.social
2. Click follow
3. Get the success message:
   
4. State of the follow button changes to "Unfollow"
   
5. When I refresh, the follow button changes to "Follow" again
   
   (Just like the video above)

(clicking on a link in /world/all creates a breadcrumb fro /world)

Some tags in /word/all are not relevant to this instance
