Thats technically the first box, when Reddit walled off their API to third party vendors all the good apps were killed... kinda. I'm still using Boost, they use to proxy for Reddit but now they implemented Lemmy for the past 4 years.

Let's all be grateful for Elon Musk! Bringing people to the Fediverse is the biggest thing he has accomplished in his life and that's the only thing he did on his own.

Technically I got banned from multiple subs by auto-editting every comment I ever made to advertise lemmy, then to warn people that they're being used to train ai and finally a probably useless attempt to poison the ai's data with nonsense velociraptor meme-speak.

That was after they walled off their api and forgot blind people exist (their mobile app didn't have any accessibility features, probably still doesn't). Shitheads.

Mine isn't there as an option, the internet was designed and built to be a free and open decentralised place. power, data, and control over the internet shouldnt be concentrated in a small number of corporations or governments. Instead, infrastructure, identity, content, and money should be spread across many independent nodes that no single entity controls. The fediverse is the return to what the internet always has been and always will be, just there was a small blip over the last decade or so where we lost our way.
