Extremism

That's so petty what the hell.
Petty is the perfect description for this entire situation.
-
Nah, the issue is people who after being clearly told to leave someone else alone, chose to escalate.
You know the blocklist is not obscured, it's clearly labeled with explanations in a public repo. You just want to be a victim.
It's just so glaringly obvious that none of you respect that "no means no". I'm not surprised that someone would put you all on a blocklist.
Then you'll gladly help me figure out why I'm on the list, because as far as I can tell, I never interacted with the person

No just folks that intentionally misconstrue words
But those people is what tesseract blocks. Without telling you about it

I’m assuming he doesn’t like my photography, which is why I’m explicitly called out on row 106. Otherwise, I’d have to think he doesn’t want to see Steve Bannon swing.

They don’t “tolerate violence!”
Unless it is fascist violence. That kind of violence is fine. But if you question, resist, or oppose fascist violence and demand accountability, then it is you who are the violent one!
-
yep it's fine
How embarrassing for you

However, I want to see Trump live until precisely January 21, ‘27, at 0:01.
After that, let the cholesterol take him, I just wanna rob couch fucker of an extra term.

I don't suppose you have evidence to back up your claim?

no sorry

After having a look at the user regex list: Dude should just use .* next time.
Not wrong, I didn't even know Lemmy had that many users lmao.
-

Take a look into the block file
-
no sorry
So it's not clearly labeled. Gotcha
-
Oh wow that's a lot of them too. Thanks for sharing this list!:-)
No prob. Everyone should be aware of what they're getting if they use tesseract.

no I don't think you do

Hard agree - transparency is important.
Fortunately, this entire filter list can be turned off by the users at any time, for those who want a more unfiltered experience (although atm it's all-or-nothing iirc).
(Though reportedly the OTHER, smaller instance hard-coded list cannot be disabled now except by using db0's fork of the codebase.)

Take a look into the block file
gotta admit its kinda weird how the block file is supposedly a secret but yet publicly accessible to anyone
ngl it makes me feel like everyone here just has a victim mentality

I thought that this network was supposed to be ban free as that's why people fled Reddit. Seems to be a lot of banning

Banned!

Not ban-free, just easier to not care if you get banned by an idiot as you can make your own community with the same name on a different instance if you think a moderator is being dumb, and can move your account to a different instance if an admin is being dumb. If other people think you're doing a better job, then your new community will outgrow the older one.
With reddit, there's only one community with each name, one set of admins, and one way to access things, so if something like this incident happened there, anyone affected would be totally fucked.

Number of stars on that repo fell faster than SpaceX stock value.

I am in the list where do I get my free sword and armour
