    But also, OPTIONALLY, some of those HTML Note also have a mediaType property with value "text/html" so maybe you can make an untranscribed markdown Note if you specify "text/markdown" maybe?

    Inconclusive.

      RE: https://hashtaggames.online/2026/08/05/245430/

      Most Note bridged from actual websites in particular tend to feature rich text, so they serve as good samples to observe in activitypub.academy

      After a few minutes of scrolling down the main instance's global tl with reckless abandon, I found one that has many style things:

      https://mastodon.social/@hashtaggames@hashtaggames.online/117045829482240874

      But clicking the link in a browser will redirect to the site from which it originates, so it needs to be manually copy-pasted into the ActivityPub Explorer (sorry)

          Maybe it's not bridged and the Fedi instance is just very actual-website-looking?

          I don't know, I feel like an amateur lab assistant photographing cool bugs to find examples of, like, articulated legs or something. It's exciting but I actually don't know what I'm doing lol.

            @mooooooo@qaf.men yes, you can.

            NodeBB and Piefed are two examples of software that send text/markdown.

            Misskey sends their own variant of Markdown
