I have started work on a Mastodon-compatible API layer intended to support the many Mastodon front-ends available. It is incomplete and requires an explicit build flag to enable, but what's there (the main timeline) already works with the official Mastodon app, Tusky, and Phanpy. Here's the full changelog:FixedEditor focus now stays in the editor after the first draft is saved. (fixes #139)Filter settings instructions. (fixes #135)ChangedImproved consistency of mini button colors. As always, check out the full diff for the complete details.#ktistec #crystallang #activitypub #fediverse

Am I right in thinking that #ActivityPub on #Ghost is not that strait forward? And is it correct that the default way of doing it is going throug a service on ghost.org? I browsed a lot of articles about ActivityPub on Ghost. A lot is about POC, things to come and how someone "hack" it to work.I thinking about moving my personal (selfhosted) webpage from wordpress to ghost. The ActivityPub in Wordpress was so simple...

@PortaFed@julian Why wouldnt the whole export object be signed? If an object is missing, the merkle root wouldnt match and you wouldnt be able to do partial validation anyway. I could have missed something on the strategy there

I meant to make this image at 1000 followers, but I have a side project that's been keeping me busy. More about that soon, but right now: Thanks! I have been keeping a list of the different languages I see on Pixelfed, and here is the word Thanks in all of them, with a matching flag or two. I used Bing Translate mostly for the text, and for the image all I did was paste together screenshots of text and emoji in #inkscape. They're in no order really, and it turns out there's not always a one to one #language to #flag relationship, but I did my best. It really means a lot to me to be able to share my photos outside of the legacy social media that's still controlled by billionaires, but I had no idea when I joined that this was such a talented community! You all have wonderful ideas about what photography and art can be. I am amazed over and over when I scroll through the local timeline. My own aesthetic is about fidelity, even superfidelity in that I sometimes spot things in photos I didn't see in person; and also lots of context, in that I like to know and talk about where the image was taken, the how and the why, what's the name of that flower? But other artists here are doing stuff like collage, stripping the image of context; and expired and even pre-exposed film photography that aren't about fidelity at all. I've seen potters and weavers here, sculptors and painters, flower arranging and pure abstracts, I love it all, thank you! Thank you for being here with me! I'm looking forward to seeing what we all make, and to what #Pixelfed and #ActivityPub will become. THANK YOU!!!!

@grishka like, I mean, running a custom  script in LUA? That would be great. But, also Javascript is ok. What's important is to have a repo of that scripts, so people unwilling to write them could just copy.Yet, the idea to have an interpreter would be , of course IMHO, perfect.

Yes, people lose Global Entry for (e.g.) showing up to protest ICE actions. The #Palantir app (that ICE uses) accesses all federal photos. Hence,I don't let TSA photograph me at security.Yes, CBP & FBI already have my photo, but if the photos are what is now allowing full information sharing between divisions of #Trump's corporation (er,I mean the federal government), I wanna thwart that.FWIW, I give a hard time to #ICE & #TSA (but not #CBP & I've not had my Global Entry revoked — yet
