    Happy to announce that federation bit is complete! Next step is purchasing a domain and spinning up a flagship instance which should happen in upcoming days πŸ™‚

      @prismo@mastodon.social link aggregation... interesting!

      So, like Lemmy, Piefed, and mbin? Will you support group federation (FEP 1b12)?

        @julian yes, pretty much something like that. Just focused more on single-group instances, so more like lobste.rs and hacker news. At least for now πŸ™‚

        Regarding FRP 1b12 - codeberg is down so i can't make sure but each prismo instance is like a single group and yes, these groups federate!

          @mbajur@mastodon.social 1b12 in a nutshell is:

          There exist Group actors. They don't send Creates like normal people. They only send Announce-wrapped activities on behalf of other users.

          All activities can theoretically be announced, but practically, your standard Create, Update, Like, Dislike (unique to threadiverse!) will get you 95% of the way there.

              @mbajur@mastodon.social So if you follow that scheme, it will mean that in NodeBB, each prismo instance would become a "category" in a NodeBB forum.

              Do you have an instance live right now? Let's see it loaded in NodeBB 😈

                      @hrast because stereotypical prism has a shape of a pyramid when you look at it from a proper angle

                        @prismo am I missing something? That's a four sided pyramid. Prisms have parallel bases.

                          @hrast when you look at such a prism from a corner angle, you can’t see the fourth corner. Prismo logo is literally a simplified contour of what i just posted. I’m not sure how to be more clear about that πŸ™‚

                            @hrast Ok i get it now and you are correct. However, for the sake of visual appeal, I will leave the logo as is for now as a heavily simplified contour of triangular prism shape and eventualy think about modifying it at some point in the future
