@smallcircles @nik @reiver JSON vs JSON-LD is a red herring tbh. The real question is, "do you recognize that other people might do things differently"? If you do, then you recognize that conflicts may arise, and you can try to resolve the conflict. But if you don't recognize even the *possibility* of a conflict, then it's painful for everyone involved.

Although I could be mistaken, I think the way Hubzilla accomplishes Nomadic Identity and Cloned Accounts is outside of ActivityPub.Forte does this using ActivityPub only (and FEP-ef61).The technical details are way beyond me, but it does seem to work.

I think that is already achievable with the current spec, the inbox can be a URL to anywhere in the actor object: https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/#actor-objects "inbox": "https://kenzoishii.example.com/inbox.json", This can be any url with any domain

A ton of stuff on reddit is by ai bots. A lot of people here are trying to get away from reddit for various reasons, one of those is how fake it has become. We want real people, real discussions, the individual not the forced algorithmic nonsense that reddit has come. Like why be another reddit when reddit is no good anymore.
